Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Python.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop backend services, business logic, and integrations with databases and third-party systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production defects.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Support application deployments, CI/CD implementation, and production releases.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Java Backend Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, or automation (Mandatory).
• Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
• Strong SQL and database design knowledge.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Good understanding of design patterns, OOP concepts, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code is an added advantage.
