About The Job:
- The position resides within the Regulatory Reporting department of Nomura's Powai Finance Division, a critical function that serves as the cornerstone of the firm's regulatory compliance framework.
This strategic role is instrumental in:
- Spearheading the monitoring and optimization of internal capital and leverage ratios in alignment with Board-approved risk appetite parameters
- Driving the execution and quality assurance of external regulatory submissions
- Contributing to the development and implementation of regulatory reporting frameworks
- Participating in strategic initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- The position requires effective collaboration with diverse teams across Mumbai and international locations, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural communication and teamwork.
- The role holder will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence through knowledge sharing, capability building, and maintaining robust processes to support sustainable delivery of critical regulatory reporting requirements.
- The role represents a critical position within the External EMEA reporting team.
- The incumbent will be responsible for executing complex regulatory calculations, ensuring reporting accuracy, and maintaining compliance standards across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Working in a dynamic, multi-location environment spanning Mumbai, London, Frankfurt, and Paris, this position demands strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
- The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in strengthening Nomura's regulatory reporting infrastructure while contributing to the firm's strategic objectives in regulatory compliance and risk management.

Essential Job Functions:

Execution of standardized approach calculations
- Counterparty credit risk assessment and monitoring
- Market risk measurement and analysis
- Settlement risk computation and tracking
- Capital deductions determination and validation

Management of regulatory reporting requirements
- COREP reporting deliverables for EMEA entities
- Resolution of management-driven inquiries and requests
- Comprehensive RWA movement analysis
- Collaborative engagement with Risk Management for input validation
Qualifications:
Domain
- Financial services industry exposure / good working knowledge in Regulatory reporting function
- Capital Market knowledge
- Excellent communication skills & ability to communicate ideas concisely and clearly
- Ability to work in stringent deadlines
- Ability to deliver accurate reports within agreed timelines
- Proficiency in bringing issues to closure by keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed
- Previous experience in Regulatory reporting within Investment Banking is preferred
- Understanding of financial products
- Self-starter, problem solver and ability to work with minimal supervision
Technical
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to learn Finance specific systems
- Inquisitive mind set with ability to challenge the norm
- Working knowledge with Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel VBA macros and SQL and ability to self–learn similar new age IT tools
