Integration Senior Developer, P2 (SAP CPI)
Location: India (Hyderabad or Bangalore)
Role and Responsibilities:
The person in this role will be part of the development team that supports initiatives for all Carrier entities, Commercial Excellence, Commercial Operations and Digital Commerce business units, inclusive of customer service, sales, marketing, B2B commerce, EDI, logistics and distribution. This role reports to the Solution Architect Pod Lead.
Primary Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Integration Developer (SAP CPI) to design, build, and operate enterprise-scale integrations and APIs across cloud and on-premise systems.
This is a key role in delivering secure, scalable, API-first integration services supporting global business domains such as Digital Commerce, Customer Support, Logistics, and Marketing.
This role needs a hands-on senior engineer with strong ownership of integration design, API governance, platform stability, and mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Integration & API Development (Must-Have)
· Develop and optimize SAP CPI iFlows for seamless SAP S/4HANA Cloud and On-Prem integrations.
· Implement various adapters (OData, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, AS2, and AMQP) and handle security artifacts (PGP, OAuth, Certificate management).
· Implement B2B and B2C integration solutions, including EDI mappings.
· Ensure compliance with security protocols such as OAuth, SSL, and SAML.
Learning Agility & Platform Adaptability
Required Qualifications & Experience
· 6+ years of experience in SAP CPI, PI, and PO development.
· Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Cloud & On-Prem integration.
· Expertise in SAP Integration Suite and SAP Cloud Connector.
· Deep knowledge of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, OData) and data formats (XML, JSON, CSV).
· Hands on Experience with EDI standards (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, AS2).
· Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Groovy scripting for custom logic.
· Hands on Experience with API management and event-driven architecture.
· Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Background in Agile development methodologies.

Experience : 6+ years of relevant experience.

- Own BTP and CPI platform operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Partner with application teams, DBAs, analytics, automation, and upstream/downstream system owners.
- Translate business requirements into integration designs and technical specifications.
- Review integration designs and provide technical guidance across teams.
Learning Agility & Platform Adaptability
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adopt new iPaaS platforms beyond Boomi (e.g., MuleSoft, SAP CPI, etc.) as enterprise integration strategy evolves.
- Comfortable working in multi-iPaaS environments and transferring integration patterns, API standards, and best practices across platforms.

· 6+ years of experience in SAP CPI, PI, and PO development.
· Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Cloud & On-Prem integration.

- Understanding of EDI concepts and X12 standards, Trading Partner Management/Configurations
- Experience using Node.js, TypeScript, or Python for integration extensions or custom components.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Enterprise & Delivery
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments within large, matrix organizations.
- Exposure to customer-facing systems such as eCommerce platforms, Salesforce, CPQ, or API-first portals.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
