Senior Specialist /Assistant Manager - FP&A
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CA/MBA to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will focus on core FP&A activities such as financial reporting and modelling, variance analysis, budgeting & forecasting, automation, creation of interactive dashboards and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will be execution-focused, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data and financial models. The candidate will work closely with team members and stakeholders to support business performance tracking, reporting processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key drivers.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by consolidating inputs and preparing templates.
- Maintain and update financial models and trackers.
- Prepare management reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in cost tracking and spend analysis across departments.
- Support reconciliations and audit-related documentation.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial modeling and reporting processes through automation initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Analytical
- CA/MBA with 0-3 years of relevant experience in FP&A and/or business analysis.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial statements and concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint.
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or ERP systems is a plus.
- Exposure to AI tools is a musts
- Experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting is a plus.
Soft Skills & Business Acumen
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Experience
- Internship or work experience in FP&A, audit, or financial reporting.
- Exposure to SaaS or technology companies is a plus.
- Experience working with large datasets or automation tools is a plus.
