QA / Testing Manager UPI & Payments

About The Job:
- We are seeking an experienced QA / Testing Manager with deep expertise in UPI (Unified Payments Interface) launches for a TPAP (Third-Party Application Provider) under the S2S (Server-to-Server) or SDK integration model with a TSP (Technology Service Provider).
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the banking and payments domain, with proven experience in mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms.
- This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own end-to-end QA strategy, NPCI certification readiness, and production launch quality for UPI products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end QA lifecycle for UPI TPAP launches integrated via S2S or SDK models with a TSP / PSP Bank.
- Define and execute the test strategy, test plans, and test cases for UPI flows including onboarding, device binding, UPI ID creation, P2P, P2M, collect requests, mandates, AutoPay, UPI Lite, UPI Circle, and refunds.
- Drive NPCI certification testing, UAT, SIT, regression, performance, and security testing cycles.
- Coordinate with TSP, Sponsor Bank, NPCI, and internal product/engineering teams for integration testing, switch testing, and go-live readiness.
- Own mobile application testing (Android & iOS) including functional, compatibility, usability, performance, and security validation.
- Manage defect lifecycle, triage meetings, and ensure timely closure with detailed RCA.
- Establish QA best practices, automation frameworks, and CI/CD-integrated test pipelines.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers; conduct performance reviews and capability building.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, NPCI, and banking regulatory guidelines, including data privacy, security, and audit requirements.
- Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to senior stakeholders and client leadership.
- Drive shift-left testing, automation adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in UPI (Unified Payments Interface) launches for a TPAP under S2S or SDK integration model with a TSP
- Strong background in banking and payments domain
- Experience in mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms
- Hands-on leadership experience in QA strategy and delivery
