Essential Job Functions:
- Monitoring backup, Symantec Netbackup software up gradation, configuration changes and documentation.
- Manage 7.5 & 7.6 Netbackup servers
- Provide resolution inputs for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and work wind Vendor to obtain the RCA
- Data Domain, Quantum (Disk devices) & Tape Library management (Client & Quantum)
- Vendor Management (Symantec, EMC, Quantum and Client)
- Escalation and Change management
- Disaster Recovery & Migration plan co-ordination
- Periodical auditing of backup policies, storage units, drives and other environmental configuration to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities.
- Configuration/Troubleshooting of tape drives & Robot.
- Creation of Change Request as per project requirement.
- Doing necessary changes to policy as per RFC.
- Creation of new backup policies.
- Troubleshooting tape library issues
- Troubleshooting Drive related Issues.
- Maintain Netbackup up-gradation Activity on Master, Media & Client Servers.
- Maintain Netbackup Patching Activity on Master, Media & Client Servers.
