Intern - Game Design (Slot)

Scopely is looking for a Game Design (Intern) to join our GSN Casino team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!

What You Will Do

• Contribute to Core Design: Participate in the conceptualization, design, and optimization of new and existing slot and casino games.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with art, engineering, and product teams to bring creative concepts to life from ideation to execution.
• Playtest & Iterate: Actively playtest builds, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to continuously elevate the player experience.
• Analyze Performance: Review game metrics and player feedback to help refine features, balance mechanics, and improve engagement.
• Brainstorm & Innovate: Support the design team in brainstorming fresh gameplay mechanics, themes, and feature sets.

What We're Looking For

• Foundational Design Knowledge: A strong understanding of basic game design principles, including player engagement, balancing, economic loops, and progression.
• Curiosity for Mobile & F2P: A genuine interest in casual and free-to-play (F2P) mobile mechanics.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong creative thinking and analytical skills to tackle design challenges and optimize player experiences.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced development environment.
• Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly to diverse teams.
• Forward-Thinking Approach: A passion for emerging technologies-show us how you are leveraging AI tools to optimize your workflow or stand out as a designer.

Qualifications & Tools

• Basic understanding of game design documentation (GDD) and wireframing.
• Familiarity with standard industry tools for prototyping, scripting, or data management (e.g., Unity, Excel, or PowerPoint).
• Hands-on experience with modern AI productivity, generation, or design tools to optimize workflows and accelerate creative output.
