Observability Engineer (OpenTelemetry)

We are looking for an Observability Engineer with strong OpenTelemetry (OTEL) expertise to design and implement scalable observability solutions across enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions using OpenTelemetry (OTEL) standards.
• Lead application instrumentation for Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, and other platforms using OTEL SDKs and auto-instrumentation.
• Configure and integrate OTEL metrics, logs, and traces with Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and monitoring strategies to improve application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to implement observability best practices.
• Troubleshoot telemetry pipelines and optimize monitoring performance.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL) instrumentation and telemetry pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Dynatrace and Splunk integrations.
• Experience with distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and application performance monitoring (APM).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting experience with Python, Shell, or PowerShell is preferred.
