About The Job:
- We are seeking a highly skilled, "code-first" Principal Mobile Architect to contribute on the architectural strategy, and hands-on execution of our next-generation mobile applications. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role that requires a rare blend of expert-level React Native development and robust Full Stack backend capabilities (specifically within AWS serverless ecosystems).
- The ideal candidate will not manage people, but will lead through technical excellence—authoring high-quality code, defining modern mobile patterns, establishing scalable data-ingestion pipelines, and seamlessly collaborating with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
Architecture, Mobile Development & Technical Leadership
- Lead by example as the primary technical contributor for the mobile platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance cross-platform applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Establish scalable mobile architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Maximize code reuse across iOS and Android while maintaining native performance.
- Design and implement advanced client-side state management solutions.
- Architect predictable data flows, local caching, and offline synchronization strategies.
- Develop scalable backend APIs and AWS serverless services supporting mobile applications.
- Optimize application performance by resolving memory leaks, rendering issues, and native bridge bottlenecks.
- Implement native optimizations using Swift and Kotlin where required.
Cloud & Backend Architecture
- Design mobile-focused serverless architectures using AWS cloud services.
- Build and maintain backend APIs using Node.js or Java.

- Manage application signing, provisioning profiles, and automated build processes.
- Oversee TestFlight beta distribution and internal testing pipelines.
- Improve deployment automation, release quality, and delivery speed.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Performance Optimization
- Diagnose and resolve complex mobile performance issues.
- Optimize application startup time, bundle size, rendering performance, and memory utilization.
- Improve thread management and interaction performance.
- Enhance application scalability and reliability across devices.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Communicate architectural decisions and technical roadmaps to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Present technical demonstrations and architectural solutions to leadership.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
- Produce technical documentation and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges early.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Expertise in mobile architecture, backend integration, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced certifications in React Native, Mobile Development, or related technologies.
- AWS Cloud Certifications (preferred).
