Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, or Maven.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Analyze test results, log defects, and support defect resolution.
• Maintain automation scripts, test data, and documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Selenium Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java (Mandatory).
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber (BDD).
• Strong knowledge of Maven or Gradle for build management.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management tools like JIRA.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Playwright or Appium is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest.
• ISTQB Certification is preferred.
