About the Role
We are seeking an experienced leader to build an SDR/BDR and ABM function at Pepper. You should bring a proven track record of generating pipeline, achieving sales targets, and motivating teams through leadership, coaching, and team-building. You will stay closely aligned with marketing to follow up on lead-generation campaigns, while consistently monitoring and tracking results and driving team execution to meet sales goals.
What You Will Do
• Oversee a team of sales development reps
• Recruit and hire A+ talent while running a consistent, fair, and scalable process, and coach leaders on interview best practices
• Coach the team on identifying high-potential customers, researching Pepper's value fit, personalizing messaging to prospects, and generating high-quality new business meetings. You should feel confident doing the role of an SDR yourself.
• Own day-to-day people management and development: shadowing and coaching on 1:1s and calls, mock role plays, delivering feedback, and developing SDR skills
• Drive accountability and development of the team daily and weekly to meet metrics, leadership, and development goals
• Inspect and drive the right mix of outbound and inbound activity for enterprise customer prospecting to set meetings
• Drive accountability on inbound lead follow-up and ensure the team stays within compliance metrics (for example, timeliness). Collaborate with Marketing to track results and align on goals.
• Build and scale the ABM motion in partnership with marketing, focusing reps on the right target accounts
• Proactively handle difficult conversations with empathy while driving accountability and keeping business goals in mind
Experience You Will Need
• Background in tech sales and 8+ years of overall experience. We want leaders who will lead and inspire their team with experienced knowledge of the tech industry.
• Working knowledge of lead management and outbound prospecting strategy
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Polished written and presentation skills, with a high degree of comfort engaging senior leadership
• Proven skills in cold calling and email outreach
• Strong coaching skills at both the rep and leader level
• A strong track record of selling, and the ability to translate that skill set to early-in-career reps
Preferred Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience leading a team of reps
• Background in tech sales, with experienced knowledge of the tech industry to lead and inspire the team
• Working knowledge of top-of-the-funnel sales processes and strategy
