Job Description

Studio Jadu is a next generation animation studio founded by ex-TikTok and ex-YouTube leadership team and backed by Khosla Ventures. We are building an end-to-end production-to-distribution model powered by a hybrid workflow where humans control the AI, harnessing the best of both worlds and keeping creative decision-making firmly in the hands of human artists. Studio Jadu’s operations are based in California, Zurich and Bangalore.\n\nPlease review the posting carefully .

If you qualify , send your resume and portfolio to [email protected]\n\nThe Role\nThis role is for a visionary who understands that in the future of animation production, a concept artist is a Style Orchestrator. You will be responsible for high-level visual development, creating robust character sheets and environment bibles that serve as the foundation for our AI-powered production engine.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nStyle Definition: Develop and define the aesthetic for each show, merging classic anime style sensibilities with modern, global visual trends.\nCharacter & Asset Design: Create detailed postures, expression sheets, and costume designs that are AI-ready.\nWorld Building: Paint evocative environment keys and 'mood boards' that define the lighting, color theory, and atmospheric depth of our IPs.\nModel Guidance: Collaborate with our technical team to provide 'Gold Standard' imagery used to fine-tune our custom AI tools and models.\nRapid Prototyping: Use a mix of traditional digital painting and AI-assisted sketching to rapidly iterate on blue-sky ideas.\nIP Consistency: Ensure that visual logic remains consistent across a series, from the architecture of a city to the specific 'glow' of a magic system.\nCreate Storyboards with an understanding of how AI tools interpret staging, composition and perspective.\n\nWho You Are\nYou have an expert level grasp of anatomy, perspective, and color theory. You can draw off-model just as easily as you can follow a style guide.\nYou have a deep appreciation for the history of anime style art—from the grit of 90s original video animation to the clean, digital sheen of modern hits.\nYou don't fear AI; you use it as a brush.

You are interested in (or already using) Generative AI tools to speed up your ideation process.\nYou understand that for AI to remain consistent, the concept art must be precise. You think in terms of 'Visual Logic'.\nYou don't just draw objects; you draw stories. Every character’s outfit or environment’s decay tells the audience who they are.\n\nTechnical Requirements\nExpert proficiency in Photoshop or Procreate.\nExperience creating Model Sheets and Production Bibles.
