Mechanical Product Design & DFM/NPI Engineering Intern

Role Description The Mechanical Product Design & DFM/NPI Engineering Intern will support the design and development of healthcare-related mechanical products and components. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in 3D modeling and detailed drawings using CAD tools, participating in design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, and contributing to new product introduction (NPI) activities. The intern will help perform basic engineering calculations, support inspection and testing of prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and maintenance issues. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Guwahati , providing close collaboration with engineering and operations teams and hands-on experience with manufacturing and assembly processes. Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering concepts and willingness to apply them to product design and DFM/NPI activities. Proficiency or coursework in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and technical drawings. Basic skills in Inspection and quality checks for mechanical components and assemblies. Understanding of Maintenance practices for mechanical systems; exposure to Automotive or related mechanical domains is beneficial. Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Ability to learn quickly, follow engineering documentation, and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment. Good communication skills and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and compliance in an on-site setting.
