Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced MEP professional to drive design management, technical coordination, and project delivery across residential and commercial developments. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure MEP systems are designed and delivered in line with project objectives, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design Management & Engineering
- Drive the design development and technical coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, ELV, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems across projects.
- Review and validate design briefs, drawings, technical specifications, engineering calculations, cost estimates, and related project documentation.
- Coordinate with MEP consultants to ensure timely and high-quality design deliverables aligned with project requirements.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and customer experience.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, sustainability requirements, and statutory regulations.
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Support end-to-end MEP project delivery from design development through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve technical and site-related challenges.
- Coordinate with project execution teams to ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Review project schedules, resource requirements, and key milestones to support successful project delivery.
Stakeholder & Consultant Management
- Coordinate closely with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Facilitate resolution of RFIs, design clarifications, and site coordination issues.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings.
- Support interactions with regulatory authorities and external agencies as required.
Quality, Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with NBC, HSE requirements, and relevant industry standards.
- Review material approvals, testing reports, commissioning documentation, and quality control records.
- Promote sustainable design practices and green building initiatives across projects.
- Support implementation of LEED, IGBC, EDGE, or similar sustainability frameworks where applicable.
Team Collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and consultants.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, technical reviews, and capability-building efforts.
- Foster a collaborative working environment across design, execution, commercial, and project management teams.
Business Support
- Support technical evaluations, consultant appointments, tender reviews, and vendor assessments.
- Contribute to technical inputs for project feasibility studies and business proposals as required.
Key Requirements
Education
- Bachelor‘s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in MEP Design and Project Management.
- Experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
- Exposure to both design management and project execution phases.
- Experience in large-scale real estate developments preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Simaris, and BIM coordination processes.
- Familiarity with NBC codes, green building concepts, and sustainability practices.
- Knowledge of LT/HT systems, building services coordination, automation systems, and utility infrastructure.
- Ability to review engineering calculations, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
