About The Job:
- We're looking for a ServiceNow ITOM Developer to support the build-out and ongoing maintenance of our IT Operations Management capabilities. You'll work across Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and Event Management — contributing to a reliable, up-to-date view of our infrastructure while growing your technical depth on the ServiceNow platform.
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery to identify and inventory on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure
- Support CMDB data quality initiatives — maintaining CI classes, relationships, and reconciliation rules
- Assist in building and updating Service Maps to reflect application and service dependencies
- Configure Event Management rules and alert correlation policies to reduce noise and surface actionable events
- Troubleshoot Discovery and MID Server issues, working with infrastructure teams to resolve gaps
- Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with monitoring tools e.g. Datadog
- Document configurations, data flows, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with senior developers and architects on design decisions and best practices
- Exp – 9 to 12 years
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with hands-on exposure to ITOM modules
- Working knowledge of Discovery (MID Server setup, probe/sensor configuration, pattern usage)
- Familiarity with CMDB structure — CI classes, identification rules, and data governance concepts
- Basic experience with Service Mapping and dependency mapping
- Exposure to Event Management alert rules and correlation configuration
- ServiceNow scripting skills in JavaScript; familiarity with REST APIs
- Understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, or IT operations concepts
- ServiceNow certifications a plus: CIS – Discovery, CIS – Event Management, CIS - Service Mapping
- Experience with cloud asset discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly Configuration and Incident Management
- Exposure to ServiceNow IntegrationHub
