About The Client:

Essential Job Functions:
Splunk Administration & Engineering
- Administer Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud components.
- Configure and maintain Universal Forwarders and Heavy Forwarders.
- Implement and maintain Common Information Model (CIM) normalization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and data models.
- Create SOX and Non-SOX alerts for various applications and operating systems within defined SLAs.
- Monitor data ingestion pipelines, indexing performance, and license utilization.
- Perform agent installation and maintenance of Heavy Forwarder and Universal Forwarder infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot Splunk platform issues and optimize overall system performance.
Microsoft Sentinel Administration
- Administer Microsoft Sentinel workspaces and security configurations.
- Configure and maintain analytics rules, automation rules, and Kusto Query Language (KQL) queries.
- Integrate Microsoft Defender Suite, Azure logs, and third-party data connectors.
- Ensure governance, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and cost optimization.
- Create SOX and Non-SOX alerts for enterprise applications.
- Monitor Sentinel health, data connectors, and security operations.
SIEM Migration (Splunk to Microsoft Sentinel)
- Participate in SIEM migration strategy, planning, and Proof of Concept (POC) activities.
- Perform content mapping and KQL query conversion.
- Execute parallel validation of migrated SIEM content.
- Migrate dashboards, correlation rules, detection logic, and automation playbooks.
- Validate migrated use cases and ensure feature parity between Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Support post-migration optimization and stabilization activities.
