Backend Application Developer - Global FP&A

About the Position

We are looking for a Backend Application Developer to join our Global FP&A team, based out of Pune. This role is ideal for a hands on developer who enjoys building scalable applications that solve real business problems and improve financial planning and reporting across a global organization.

Working closely with Finance and Technology stakeholders, you will design, develop, and enhance backend applications that enable efficient financial reporting, planning, and analysis. You'll play a key role in transforming business requirements into practical, user-focused solutions while contributing to the team's broader application and data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications that support Global FP&A processes and financial reporting.

• Develop robust, scalable solutions that improve planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.

• Partner with FP&A stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into intuitive, high-value applications.

• Drive continuous improvement of existing applications, identifying opportunities to automate processes and enhance user experience.

• Develop and maintain APIs, data integrations, and backend services that support financial applications.

• Contribute to the team's data strategy, ensuring applications effectively leverage and manage financial data.

• Support the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through deployment and ongoing enhancement.

About You

• 4+ years of hands-on backend application development experience.

• Demonstrated experience building business applications from concept through to deployment.

• Strong backend development skills, with experience designing scalable, reliable application architectures.

• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to develop practical solutions that deliver measurable value.

• Experience with financial systems, FP&A, reporting applications, or enterprise business applications is highly desirable.

• A proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for solving business challenges through technology.
