Roles and Responsibilities
Interaction with global Aero Engine component suppliers via weekly link calls and capture minutes of meeting

Work closely with suppliers on preventing corrosion and other quality improvements of Aero engine components

Follow up with suppliers regularly for Quality document submission, Concession, Manufacturing approvals, status of rework etc

Good in verbal communication skills and understanding western accent

Ability to resolve the quality problems raised by suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers for claim notes, quality escapes etc

Very good understanding of Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney engineering drawings and specifications

Review FAIR package, PPAP elements especially PFMEA, Control plan etc

Analyze nonconformance, Process capability for Key dimensions using Minitab software

Develop/ revise work instructions, Checklist to meet latest requirements

Identify continual improvement opportunities in the process

Need to understand Work Instructions, SOP's, Technical instruction and other inspection planning documents.

Knowledge on special processes, Heat treatment, NDT, material certificates etc

Knowledge in supplier assessment, Audits according to customer requirements

Work Experience

Working experience with Aerospace companies like Rolls Royce and Pratt & Whitney

Well versed with Aerospace standards and specifications such as AS13100, AS13003, AS13004, AS13006 etc

Should have performed PFMEA and control plan for aero components

Very good understanding of FAIR and PPAP elements including review

Hands on experience in parts inspection, all kinds of measuring instruments

Strong in drawing interpretation, GD&T, MSA, SPC & all Quality techniques.

Knowledge in Zero Defect approach

Hands on experience with Minitab, Power bi etc

Ability to build and develop Customer & Supplier relationships

Excellent communication skills to deal with overseas customers and suppliers

Strong problem-solving ability and well versed with DMAIC.

Having prior onsite experience with RR-UK is added advantage for this role.

Knowledge on CMM programming is added advantage
