Must Have (Core – Applicable Across Most Data Engineering Demands)

Proficiency in Data Engineering
Experience with data modeling and ETL processes
Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms and data storage solutions
Knowledge of programming languages relevant to data engineering
Ability to work independently, contribute to team discussions, collaborate with stakeholders, and operate as an SME

Good to Have (Commonly Requested, Not Universal)

These skills increase deployability but are not mandatory for every Data Engineering demand.
Participation in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
Experience building high quality, performant data pipelines aligned to business use cases
