Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in Java , Big Data processing , and cloud-native orchestration . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apache Spark , Apache Airflow , Kubernetes , and Elasticsearch , and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and backend services

Strong proficiency in Java (8+ years).
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Apache Airflow .
Proficient in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience with YAML for configuration management.
Deep understanding of Elasticsearch and Logstash .
Experience with OpenSearch installation and configuration.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.

Key responsibilities

Backend Development:
- Design and implement scalable and high-performance backend services using Java .
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
Data Engineering & Processing:
- Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Airflow .
- Manage data ingestion workflows using Logstash and other ETL tools.
Search & Analytics:
- Implement and maintain search and analytics solutions using Elasticsearch and OpenSearch .
- Self-install and configure OpenSearch on CAE environments for custom analytics use cases.
Containerization & Orchestration:
- Deploy and manage microservices using Kubernetes .
- Write and manage deployment configurations using YAML and Helm charts.
Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
- Optimize data processing jobs and API performance for scalability and reliability.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Data Science, and Product.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
