| Description: The primary skill required is OpenShift Virtualization (infrastructure management), with additional experience in VMware virtual infrastructure.
OpenShift (Primary) • Strong hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift 4.x, with solid Kubernetes fundamentals. • Strong Linux administration skills (preferably RHEL). • Experience performing cluster upgrades, patching, and production operational support. • Good understanding of OpenShift/Kubernetes concepts including namespaces, deployments, operators, RBAC, SCC/PSA, services, and ingress/routes. • Proven troubleshooting skills across networking, storage, and compute layers. • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD. • Experience migrating workloads from other platforms to OpenShift. • Familiarity with observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and incident/problem management practices. VMware (Secondary) • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, clusters, HA/DRS, vMotion). • Experience using Lifecycle Manager/Update Manager, including patch baselines and images. • Understanding of server firmware, driver compatibility, and platform lifecycle considerations. • Strong troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage interactions. • Experience working within regulated change management environments. • Automation/scripting experience with tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, and Jenkins.
