Global Partner Data, Lead Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical Global Partner Data Senior Analyst to provide the data and insights that directly inform strategic business decisions through robust data analytics and reporting. This role sits within the Global Partner Program and Strategy team and operates at the intersection of data science and business strategy. The primary focus is on leveraging partner data across all systems-including PRM platforms, Salesforce, and learning management systems-to generate actionable insights that optimize the global partner ecosystem.
This role is instrumental in shaping the future of the Global Partner Strategy by transforming raw data into clear, compelling narratives and reports that cover the partner program, partner ecosystem, and overall partner business. This includes designing and maintaining essential dashboards, developing predictive analytics that drive strategic decisions related to Okta's partner strategy, annual program planning, and measuring benefit ROI. You will also partner with technical teams to ensure data architecture supports robust analysis and drives efficiency across the partner lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Conduct deep-dive strategic analysis to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for program/ecosystem optimization.
- Assist the design, development, and maintenance of all recurring Business Intelligence (BI) reports and executive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce reports) to monitor the health and performance of the Global Partner Program and ecosystem, including:
- Partner performance and engagement
- Deal registration, referrals, and co-sell metrics
- Portal usage analytics
- Develop and maintain predictive models and advanced analytics that directly influence the development of partner strategy, annual program planning, program benefit ROI measurement, and business cases for new partner incentives.
- Translate complex business questions and requirements into clear analytical frameworks and data visualizations.
Data Architecture & Governance
- Lead global partner ecosystem data governance and audit initiatives, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of partner data across CRM, PRM, LMS, reporting, and operational systems
- Partner with Systems teams to architect and maintain data integrations to ensure reliable, high-quality data flow for reporting and analysis.
- Identify data gaps and implement scalable solutions to improve reporting accuracy and generate insights.
Data Quality & Operational Support
- Manage partner data quality projects and coordinate necessary bulk data updates across systems.
- Document data definitions, reporting logic, and analytical methodologies to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Support complex data-related inquiries from internal teams and handle escalated partner inquiries related to data and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles within a SaaS or technology environment.
- Deep expertise in leveraging partner data across CRM (Salesforce) and PRM (Impartner) systems to drive business insights.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, advanced MS Excel (i.e., sumifs, index/match, pivot tables), and experience modeling complex problems.
- Advanced hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining reports and dashboards in BI tools such as Tableau or similar.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and data flows across enterprise platforms.
- Proven ability to translate business questions into actionable analysis and communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable solutions.
- This role requires flexibility to accommodate overlapping hours with the PST time zone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with predictive analytics or statistical modeling to support business forecasting and ROI analysis.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with deal registration and marketing development fund administration.
- Hands-on experience with Impartner PRM.
- Understanding of the partner ecosystem at a SaaS technology company.
