About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and result-oriented Vertical Head – Event Sales & BTL Activations to lead and grow our Events & Brand Activation business vertical. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in event sales, BTL activations, experiential marketing, corporate events, promoter activities, roadshows, retail activations, and brand engagement campaigns.
This is a leadership role that requires a balance of strategic thinking, team management, client acquisition, and individual sales contribution. The candidate must be comfortable leading a team while actively participating in business development and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Drive revenue growth for the Events & BTL Activation vertical.
- Generate new business opportunities from brands, corporates, agencies, startups, and marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and marketing heads.
- Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and activation concepts to clients.
- Negotiate commercials and close high-value deals.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Vertical Leadership
- Build, lead, and manage the Events & Activations vertical as a profit center.
- Develop business strategies for market expansion and client acquisition.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in experiential marketing and BTL activities.
- Establish processes and best practices for project delivery and client servicing.
- Ensure profitability and operational efficiency across projects.
Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Understand client objectives and translate them into impactful activation solutions.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients and identify upselling opportunities.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor sales, activation, and client servicing teams.
- Set KPIs and performance goals for team members.
- Foster a high-performance and ownership-driven culture.
- Support recruitment and training of new team members.
Individual Contribution
- Personally contribute to business development and sales targets.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and strategic accounts.
- Lead critical pitches and key client negotiations.
- Serve as a role model for the sales team through direct market engagement.
Project Oversight
- Collaborate with operations and execution teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure activation campaigns meet client expectations and brand objectives.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Event Sales, BTL Activations, Experiential Marketing, or Integrated Marketing Solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience handling corporate clients, brands, agencies, and marketing decision-makers.
