Job Description
Address all safety-related items immediately.\nSupport Lean manufacturing methodology to drive process improvements.\nSupport introduction of new products to manufacturing by developing required manufacturing process instruction\nWork with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of work instructions.\nMaintain required process documentation for new and existing products.\nRecommend manufacturing cost reductions for new and existing products.\nReview processes and implement changes to adhere to quality control guidelines and engineering specifications.\nParticipate in special or derivative products reviews to estimate process capabilities and requirements.\nAssist in efforts to optimize processes.\nEffectively communicate with a positive demeanor to all Generac team members.\nAct as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.\nPerform duties as assigned by supervisor.\n\nEducation\nAssociates degree in an engineering or drafting field\n\nWork Experience\n3 years' experience in technical writing role\n2 years' experience with products, processes and equipment consistent with a durable goods manufacturing environment.\n\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nExperience with engine powered products is a plus;\nWorking knowledge of technical publishing software packages;\nSolid PC and software familiarity, including Microsoft Office applications and modern ERP systems;\nExperience manipulating, extracting and editing 3D models;\nStrong mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex product drawings;\nGood oral, written, organizational and communication skills are essential;\nAbility to work collaboratively and productively with all types of people throughout the organization.\nPrevious experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.
