We are looking for an experienced, creative, and commercially focused Fashion Designer who can develop innovative collections and contribute to the growth of our brand. Key Responsibilities - Research market trends, customer preferences, fashion forecasts, and competitor collections.
- Design innovative collections including kurtis, kurta sets, co-ord sets, dresses, tops, and other women's ethnic wear.
- Develop seasonal and festive collections based on market demand and fashion trends.
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, print concepts, embroidery ideas, and design themes.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories.
- Prepare design sketches, CADs, tech packs, measurement charts, and production specifications.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, production, and sampling teams throughout the product development process.
- Develop samples, conduct fittings, and finalize designs before bulk production.
- Ensure every design is commercially viable, cost-effective, and aligned with target price points.
- Work closely with fabric suppliers, printers, embroidery units, and garment vendors for new product development.
- Continuously improve existing products based on customer feedback and sales performance.
- Maintain a structured design calendar and ensure timely launch of seasonal collections. Candidate Requirements - Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from a recognized institute.
- 5–8 years of experience in women's ethnic wear or apparel design.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, fabrics, silhouettes, and fitting.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
- Excellent understanding of colours, prints, embroidery techniques, and fashion forecasting.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and commercially focused with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates currently residing in Surat will be preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Number of successful new styles developed and launched.
