Job Summary
Legal & Compliance Manager have experience in Contracts, Compliance, Legal advisory, Company Secretarial and Labour & Employment Law matters.
Job Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end Company Secretarial work including handling Board Meetings, filings etc.
- Manage regulatory compliance requirements and ensure timely filings and reporting
- Review, draft, negotiate contracts and advise on legal risks
- Conduct due diligence and support risk assessment of third parties
- Act as a business partner and serve as a bridge between OGC and internal teams to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance
- Support business teams with day-to-day legal and compliance queries
- Handle employment related legal matters, including advising on HR issues, policies and employee lifecycle matters
- Develop and implement policies and support internal governance processes
- Collaborate with global teams and external counsel when required
- Drive process improvements and ensure smooth transition of responsibilities
- Maintain contracts and compliance tracker for local and global reporting
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Qualified lawyer (LLB/LLM or equivalent) and a qualified company secretary (CS) (mandatory)
Experience: 10+ years of experience in legal and compliance
License(s)/Certification(s): Any Legal & Compliance certification
Software: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and Legal & Compliance Tool, if any.
Language(s): English
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in contracts, compliance, advisory, company secretarial and employment law matters
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
