Job Description

About the Role We are a diversified business group with interests across multiple industries, led directly by the Promoter. We are seeking a highly capable, qualified Chartered Accountant to serve as the Promoter’s right hand — a trusted Executive Assistant who combines deep expertise in finance, taxation, and banking with the versatility to support business operations and the Promoter’s professional affairs across all group entities. This is not a conventional EA role. The ideal candidate will function as a finance-focused chief of staff: managing banking relationships, overseeing accounts and compliance across businesses, representing the Promoter in meetings with banks, consultants, and authorities, and travelling with the Promoter as required. The role offers exceptional exposure to the workings of a diversified business group at the ownership level. Key Responsibilities Finance, Accounts & Compliance • Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and MIS reporting across all group businesses and entities. • Manage direct and indirect tax matters (Income Tax, GST, TDS), including filings, assessments, and coordination with tax consultants and authorities. • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across entities (ROC/MCA filings, audits, and other applicable regulations). • Prepare financial summaries, cash-flow projections, and decision-support analysis for the Promoter. • Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, company secretaries, and external consultants. Banking & Treasury • Serve as the primary liaison with banks and financial institutions for all group entities. • Manage working capital facilities, term loans, credit lines, and renewals; prepare and present proposals and documentation to banks. • Negotiate terms, interest rates, and charges with bankers; monitor compliance with sanction terms and covenants. • Oversee day-to-day treasury operations — fund flows, inter-entity transfers, fixed deposits, and surplus fund deployment. • Track and manage CIBIL/credit profiles, bank guarantees, and letters of credit as required. Business Operations Support • Support the Promoter in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and ventures across diverse industries. • Coordinate between group businesses, department heads, and external stakeholders to drive execution of the Promoter’s decisions. • Conduct due diligence, prepare business notes, and review agreements and commercial documents (with legal counsel where required). • Monitor key operational and financial metrics across businesses and flag issues proactively. Executive & Personal Assistance • Manage the Promoter’s professional calendar, meetings, correspondence, and follow-ups. • Travel with the Promoter for business meetings, bank visits, site visits, and negotiations; handle travel logistics. • Attend meetings on the Promoter’s behalf, take minutes, and ensure follow-through on action items. • Handle confidential financial, business, and personal matters with absolute discretion. Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); FCA designation preferred. This qualification is mandatory. • 5–10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a promoter-led / family-owned business group, CA firm serving such groups, or a multi-entity corporate environment. • Demonstrated hands-on experience in banking liaison — loan proposals, credit facilities, documentation, and negotiations. • Strong working knowledge of Indian taxation (Income Tax, GST), accounting standards, and corporate compliance. • Proficiency in Tally / accounting ERPs, MS Excel (advanced), and financial modelling; comfort with digital banking platforms. Personal Traits • Will handle highly confidential financial and personal information; integrity is non-negotiable.: Trustworthy & Discreet • Comfortable switching between industries, entities, and tasks — from boardroom analysis to ground-level execution.: Versatile & Hands-on • Anticipates the Promoter’s needs, follows up relentlessly, and closes loops without reminders.: Proactive & Ownership-driven • Fluent in English and Hindi; able to represent the Promoter confidently before bankers, officials, and partners.: Strong Communicator • Willing to travel frequently and extensively with the Promoter, and flexible with working hours as business demands.: Mobile & Available • Organised, detail-oriented, and dependable in fast-moving, high-stakes situations.: Composed Under Pressure What We Offer • Direct working relationship with the Promoter and exposure to ownership-level decision-making across a diversified group. • Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. • Travel and growth opportunities across multiple businesses and industries. • A long-term, trusted position with increasing responsibility for the right candidate.
