The culture emphasizes liveliness, professionalism, and a guest-centric approach. Role Description The Reservations Executive role at VYDA Hotels is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves handling all incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, accurately capturing guest details and preferences, and updating the reservation system. The Reservations Executive will manage room inventory, process modifications and cancellations, and coordinate with the front office, sales, and revenue teams to optimize occupancy and revenue. Responsibilities include responding promptly and courteously to guest queries, providing information about room types, rates, and packages, and assisting with group and corporate bookings. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reservation reports, and supporting hotel promotional campaigns and upselling initiatives. Mandatory Criteria: This role is strictly open to experienced hoteliers with a dedicated background in reservations management who meet the specific linguistic requirements listed below. Hotel Reservations Experience Required: Proven prior experience specifically within a Hotel Reservations department is mandatory. Candidates must have a track record of handling room inventory, managing block bookings, and processing direct and channel reservations. Applications from non-hospitality backgrounds or general front-desk roles without reservation desk experience will not be considered. Multilingual Capability (South Indian Languages): Fluency in Kannada , along with professional proficiency in at least one or more other South Indian languages ( Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam ), is mandatory to effectively communicate with regional corporate clients, travel agents, and leisure guests. System Expertise: Hands-on experience using hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) (such as Opera, IDS Next, or similar), Central Reservation Systems (CRS), and Channel Managers to maintain real-time inventory accuracy. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi to coordinate seamlessly with national guests and internal corporate teams. Sales & Revenue Focus: Strong sales acumen, including a proven ability to upsell premium room categories, packages, and ancillary services to maximize Yield and Average Room Rate (ARR). Operational Excellence: High attention to detail, precision in data entry (rates, guest profiles, and billing instructions), and the ability to multitask under pressure during peak inquiry hours. Education: A Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
