Designing end-to-end data architectures (ingestion storage processing consumption)
Defining standards for schemas, naming, versioning, and reuse
Storage & Processing - relational databases, big data & analytics platforms, object storage
Cloud Architecture - Azure/Microsoft Fabric fundamentals, cost optimization & scalability patterns, security & networking basics
Translating business requirements into data structures
Understanding business processes and operating models
Explaining complex architectures to non-technical stakeholders
Creating clear architecture diagrams and decision documents
Facilitating design workshops and tradeoff discussion

Robust knowledge of data management industry (DW, BI, BD, Cloud, MDM, DG, DQ, Data Modeling)
Ability to research and learn new technologies and processes quickly
Ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams
Ability to evaluate an existing architecture and document issues and suggested improvements
Ability to Architect solutions based on customer requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience, with proven leadership and mentoring abilities
Ability to work independently on projects as well as collaborate effectively across teams.
