ABOUT YOU:
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) team. You’ll build and optimize customer-facing experiences that power thousands of websites across North America, using experimentation and data-driven insights to improve conversion and user engagement.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning features from concept through production. You’ll partner closely with Product, UX, Analytics, and Engineering teams while making sound technical decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.
Our engineering team is experienced and self-sustaining, so we’re looking for someone who can contribute immediately, deliver high-quality software, and take pride in building reliable, production-ready solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop Customer-Facing Solutions:
- Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web applications using PHP, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Build scalable, maintainable, and performant solutions that improve customer experience across thousands of customer websites.
- Deliver clean, reusable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Drive Experimentation & Optimization:
- Design, implement, and optimize A/B and multivariate experiments that improve conversion rates and customer engagement.
- Build experiments using platforms such as Optimizely, VWO, Convert, or similar experimentation tools.
- Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Analytics teams to translate business hypotheses into measurable experiments.
- Validate experiment implementation to ensure accurate targeting, tracking, and reporting.
Build Reliable Production Software:
- Own features throughout the software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to deployment and production support.
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely, reliable fixes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
Champion Quality:
- Perform thorough self-testing and validate implementations before submitting code for review, ensuring customer experiences and experiments behave exactly as intended.
- Take ownership of delivering high-quality software with minimal defects.
- Collaborate closely with QA and engineering teams to ensure successful releases
