Project Services Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
Provide leadership to planning engineers, schedulers, cost engineers, cost estimators, project control engineers to plan, monitor, and control the execution of multiple portfolio of projects across various geographies through timely release of cost reports, providing periodic schedule updates, issuance of project control reports, expediting internal & external stakeholders and various other activities of project controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop systems and procedures for Project control functions on the onset of the project and as and when there is a need in order to facilitate the process of project controls & monitoring.
- Develop and maintain the project baseline, including Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and master schedules.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) to track progress, cash flow, and cost/schedule variances.
- Coordinate change orders, manage contingency budgets, and assess the financial impact of contract variations.
- Maintain risk registers and develop quantitative mitigation strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project planning team to develop, implement & maintain the project controls procedure, project schedules (level 1-4), and reporting systems specific to project
- Prepare the progress measurement system such as manpower histograms, which indicate the number of people required each month, progress S curves which will indicate the progress that the project makes at a given point of time etc., which are reviewed at periodic intervals.
- Monitoring progress of the work for timely execution of the project through weekly/monthly reports with respect to review of the overall project. Progress monitoring on a regular basis and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts.
- Ensure that field project controls documents such as construction schedules, resources histogram, reporting systems, commodity data base, material controls systems, etc. are fully developed & implemented by the designated personnel and reviewed by Construction Management and that engineering & procurement activities are properly interfaced.
- Carry out diagnostic studies and derive insights on ongoing projects, to measure what is achieved vis-a-vis the plan by the project control team based on progress reports and feedback to ensure timely completion and formulate an action plan for schedule adherence.
- Generate actionable reports and interactive performance dashboards (e.g., using Microsoft Power BI) for senior management.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Center Manager

Work Experience
- Ideal candidate should have 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power Plant projects - Brownfield and Greenfield, and who has worked with reputed clients.
- Minimum bachelors degree in engineering and/or relevant project management qualification.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6) and cost management tools (e.g., EcoSys).
- Certifications: Certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are highly preferred
