Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end Workday Financials configuration across GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Banking & Settlement, Assets and Financial Reporting.
- Configure business processes, security roles, validations, custom reports and calculated fields.
- Lead system design workshops, requirement gathering and documentation of functional specifications.
- Design, build and troubleshoot integrations using Workday Studio, event-driven APIs and MuleSoft, including interfaces with Salesforce and other systems.
- Ensure robust, smooth end-to-end data flows and resolve complex integration errors.
- Lead EIB and data-conversion activities - mapping, validation and reconciliation.
- Provide Tier-3 production support as the final escalation point before Workday vendor; own root-cause analysis and permanent fixes for complex defects.
- Drive automation, reporting enhancements and improved user experience.
- Support change management - UAT / regression, release updates, deployments and user enablement.
- Maintain runbooks, test scripts, configuration logs and design documentation; mentor and uplift L1 / L2 teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience across multiple modules.
- Strong integration engineering with Workday Studio, MuleSoft, APIs or similar middleware.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Assets, Period Close) and financial controls / compliance (IFRS / GAAP, audit requirements).
- Experience with Workday implementations, enhancements or large-scale ERP deployments.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical configurations and functional solutions.
- Experience working in global, multi-entity environments with structured governance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Flexibility to support across APAC / EMEA / US hours where required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services, fintech or data-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of Workday Reporting (Matrix, Composite, Prism), Calculation Engine and Adaptive Planning.
- Exposure to project methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and formal change governance.
- Background working alongside auditors, regulators or external delivery partners.
- Workday Financials and/or Integration certification(s).
