Job Purpose:

The role ensures efficient IT operations, manages budgets, and oversees vendor relationships. It directs user support, network coordination, and data security efforts. Supervises teams, provides strategic training, and drives continuous improvement for optimized system performance and reliability.

Education Qualification:

Essential: B.Tech/B.E - IT

Work Experience (Range of years):

10-15 years of relevant experience

IT Budgeting and Vendor Management:

  • Understand and assist in formulating the IT budget concerning IT assets necessary for achieving strategic goals.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) for service providers assisting in IT service operations.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure maintenance aligns with the maintenance plan and SLA, or direct resolution of unexpected critical faults/errors in hardware/software.
  • Monitor service levels provided by vendors and ensure compliance with SIPL's quality and service standards.

Systems Maintenance and Data Management:

  • Develop and deploy systems for efficient Toll Collection Management System and ATMS.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive systems and IT plans for all projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgeting while ensuring all cost control measures taken into consideration.
  • Adhere to the annual maintenance schedule for all IT equipment and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the regular maintenance of servers to ensure business continuity, minimize downtime, and perform data recovery in case of data loss, maintaining strict data integrity and controls on data server passwords and backups.
  • Manage systems for the efficient conduct of audio/video conferencing and webcasting.
  • Ensure the management of environmental control systems and power safety systems to ensure the physical safety of equipment in server rooms.
  • Maintain and update technical/user documentation and operations manuals for each IT system.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in O&M practices, processes, and technological solutions.
  • Promote innovation and the adoption of technology and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Supervise and mentor site leads, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

User Support and Network Coordination:

  • Direct swift resolution of all IT-related user queries as per guidelines and within specified timelines.
  • Coordinate with network technicians during continuous network problems and escalate issues if unable to solve service requests.
  • Ensure 100% availability of all FASTAG lanes for smooth ETC transactions, providing assistance for reconciliations and addressing any system-related issues.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation and documentation of traffic/revenue data with the system integrator (SI) and banker, along with concurrence of operation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports to monitor the overall system status.

Team Supervision and Training:

  • Supervise systems and IT executives, ensuring they adhere to established protocols and maintain high performance.
  • Provide training to operations and other staff for seamless use of TMS and ATMS modules.
  • Promote continuous improvement through feedback and regular performance evaluations.
  • Ensure data security for the Operations and Maintenance Control Center (OMCCC) from respective SPVs.
