Company Description: R&D Therm India Pvt Ltd (RDT) is a specialized manufacturing company based in Nashik, focused on distillation columns, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors, tanks, chimneys, and related equipment. The organization works with a wide range of materials including stainless steel (SS 304, SS 316), Hastelloy, titanium, carbon steel SA 515/516, and mild steel IS 2062. RDT operates from a state-of-the-art facility on a 1-acre site in Satpur Industrial Area, featuring a 25,000 sq. ft. workshop with a 13-meter shed height and reliable access to utilities and skilled labor. Significant investments in automated machinery enable faster delivery and high-quality output. The company is U Stamp certified by ASME and collaborates with leading consultants and third-party inspectors such as Lloyd's, Bureau Veritas, Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd, EIL, and others to maintain stringent quality standards.
Role Description The Sr. Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Division, responsible for driving technical sales and supporting customers across assigned territories. The position involves identifying business opportunities, preparing and presenting technical proposals, and explaining product capabilities related to process equipment and engineered systems. The Sr. Sales Engineer will engage with clients to understand their requirements, coordinate with internal engineering and production teams, and ensure accurate quotations and timely order execution. Daily activities include conducting technical discussions, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, maintaining detailed sales reports and forecasts, and building long-term customer relationships. The role also includes visiting customer sites, participating in meetings with consultants and third-party inspectors, and representing RDT at industry events when required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Sales Engineering and technical solution selling for industrial equipment or process engineering applications.
- Strong Technical Support capabilities, including troubleshooting, application engineering, and guiding customers on product selection and specifications.
- Proven Sales and Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage accounts, negotiate contracts, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear technical writing, confident presentations, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or related fabrication industries, preferably working with ASME or similar standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry codes; familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in an on-site industrial environment with regular customer visits.
