About The Job:
- The IDT Productivity Manager is accountable for governing, protecting, and maximizing the value delivered from IT investments across IDT Services & Technology Delivery.
- The role ensures productivity initiatives, transformation programmes, and cost-optimisation efforts translate into measurable and validated business outcomes, underpinned by consistent frameworks, disciplined tracking, and transparent reporting.
- Partners with IDT Services & Technology Delivery functions to identify productivity opportunities, safeguard benefits integrity, drive standardisation, and provide a single source of truth on productivity performance for the Productivity Board and senior leadership.
Essential Job Functions:
Enterprise Value Governance
- Act as the Enterprise Value Governor, ensuring IT initiatives translate into clearly defined, measurable, and realized business outcomes.
- Establish and enforce productivity governance standards across IDT Services & Technology Delivery functions.
- Ensure alignment between approved business cases, delivery roadmaps, and realized benefits.
Value Guarding & Benefits Integrity
- Own the Benefits Validation Framework, ensuring benefits reported by projects are reconciled with approved benefit statements, baselines, and assumptions.
- Challenge, validate, and independently assess reported benefits to prevent overstatement or duplication.
- Maintain clear audit trails between initiatives, claimed savings, and financial outcomes.
Standardization & Frameworks
- Define and maintain standardized productivity frameworks, methodologies, and reporting templates across the organisation.
- Ensure consistent definitions for savings types, productivity metrics, and benefit categories.
- Drive adoption of standard practices across all functions and regions.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Consolidate productivity performance into a single Progress Dashboard and Issue Log, serving as the authoritative source of truth for the Productivity Board.
- Track delivery status, risks, issues, and interdependencies across all productivity initiatives.
- Provide executive-ready insights, trends, and forward-looking risk assessments.
Advisory & Partnership
- Act as a neutral, trusted advisor to IDT Services & Technology Delivery functions, supporting identification and structuring of productivity and cost optimization opportunities.
- Facilitate fact-based discussions on trade-offs, prioritization, and delivery feasibility.
- Support functions in translating operational improvements into quantified benefits.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Support Productivity Board governance, including materials preparation, decision tracking, and follow-through.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, audit requirements, and transformation governance standards.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Procurement, Transformation, and Functional Leaders to ensure alignment and credibility.
Qualifications:
Experience Required
- Knowledge on service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL / ITSM, COBIT - preferred)
- Strong understanding of outsourcing and managed services models
- Understanding of contracts with commercial and negotiation acumen and vendor life cycle management
- Performance metrics, reporting, and data driven decision making
- Strong stakeholder management and working with cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinking and structured problem solving
- Ability to work in matrixed, multi vendor environments
- Comfortable operating at pace and with ambiguity, able and willing to pivot where necessary.
- Strong inter-personal skills to ensure delivery across multiple stakeholders in very varied teams and disciplines.
- Highly organised, self-driven with attention to detail.
- Have strong planning, communication and presentation skills along with the capability to listen and influence at all levels of the organisation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications (Preferred, not mandatory)
- ITIL® Foundation / ITIL® Managing Professional (or equivalent ITSM certification)
- COBIT Foundation or Practitioner
- Project or Program Management Certification (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, Agile)
- Procurement, Supplier Management, or Commercial Certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) - desirable for continuous improvement focus
