About The Job:

• Experience: 8+ Years-relevant (12-15 years overall)
• We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle ODI & Analytics Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c/14c), Semantic Modeling (RPD), and SQL/PLSQL development.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions across Oracle's data and analytics ecosystem.
• Experience in Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is highly desirable.
• Candidates with prior experience in technical training, mentoring, or enabling teams on ODI, Semantic Modeling, and Oracle Analytics technologies will be considered favorably.

Essential Job Functions:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to client's systems quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
• Responsible for preparing design documentation.
• Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing.
• Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
• Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability.
• Drafts, revises, and maintains test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
• Executes test procedures according to software requirements specifications.
• Logs defects and makes recommendations to address defects.
• Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
• Documents evolution of testing procedures for future replication.
• May conduct performance and scalability testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, conducts and manages assignments generally involving large, high budgets (cross-functional) projects or more than one project.
• Assists in creating the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function.
• Serves as point of contact between IT and key business users senior leadership in defining IT solution based on business needs.
• Drives changes in architecture, methodology or programming procedures.
• Performs estimation efforts on the most complex projects and tracks progress.
• Obtains detailed specification from business users and development to ascertain specific output information requirements.
• Prepares detailed plans for managing cross-testing team dependencies.
• Serves as the testing consultant to leader in the IT organization and functional user groups.
• Mentors team members on all aspects of testing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c/14c).
• Build and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain Semantic Models (RPD), including semantic model extensions, metadata modeling, and subject area design.
• Design and develop reporting and analytics solutions using Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
• Work with OCI-based analytics and data integration components where applicable.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
• Perform data mapping, data quality validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
• Create and maintain technical design documents, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Support release management, testing, and production deployments.

Qualifications:
Nice to Have – Training & Enablement Experience

• Candidates who have demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, or enabling technical teams will be highly preferred.

Examples include:

• Conducting formal training sessions/workshops on ODI, RPD/Semantic Modeling, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Developing training materials, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing content.
• Mentoring junior developers and analytics engineers.
• Leading enablement programs or establishing best practices for Oracle Analytics and Data Integration technologies.
• Supporting onboarding and skill development initiatives within project teams.
• This experience would be especially valuable in helping the broader team accelerate adoption, improve knowledge transfer, and build long-term technical capability.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

Oracle Data Integration

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c/14c).
• Expertise in ETL/ELT design, mappings, packages, procedures, load plans, and troubleshooting.

Semantic Modeling

• Strong experience with Oracle BI Repository (RPD) and Semantic Model development.
• Experience with Semantic Model Extensions and dimensional modeling concepts.

Database Development

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and database design.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) development and administration.
• Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) reporting and dashboard development.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
• Experience with Python and Shell Scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion SaaS data models and integrations.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle Data & Analytics technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience in:
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c/14c)
  • RPD / Semantic Modeling
  • SQL & PL/SQL Development
• 8+ years of strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c/14c).
• Specializing in ETL/ELT development, Oracle BI Repository (RPD) and Semantic Model design, with advanced expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data integration and reporting implementations.
