Drafter
Roles & Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop P&ID drawings based on engineering inputs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and design specifications.
Create detailed piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and instrumentation representations using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or SmartPlant.
Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
Update and revise drawings based on client comments, design changes, and site modifications.
Maintain drawing standards, symbols, legends, and document control as per company and project requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISA, ANSI, ASME, and client-specific drafting guidelines.
Prepare and manage line lists, valve schedules, instrument tags, and related engineering documentation.
Maintain revision history and ensure all drawings are properly archived and issued.
Assist in as-built drawing preparation after project completion or site changes.
Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and ensure timely delivery of drafting deliverables.
Work Experience
Required Skills:
- Experience working on Tools/ Software: AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Solid works
- Design experience in P&ID, isometric drafting and 3D plant modelling using Plant 3D,PDMS
- Assist with promoting best practice internally
- Experience in an engineering position in Oil and gas/ Petro-chemical
- Drafting using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of SPPID and piping design will be added advantage
- Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed
- Strong written communication skills as well as routine interactions with Project teams
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 to 4 years of experience in related industry (Design/ EPC/ Oil and Gas industry)
