The Chartered Accountant will handle statutory and tax audits, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Daily responsibilities include managing direct and indirect tax filings, supporting tax planning, and responding to queries from tax authorities and other regulators.
The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, reviewing ledgers, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. The Chartered Accountant will also liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide advisory support on financial and tax matters, and contribute to process improvements and internal controls.\nQualifications\nQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid membership; additional certifications in taxation, audit, or finance are an advantage.\nStrong knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, and relevant laws and regulations (including direct and indirect tax).\nProficiency in accounting and tax software, MS Excel, and other office productivity tools.\nAbility to analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and identify risks or inconsistencies.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.\nStrong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.\nDemonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.\nExperience working in a CA firm or similar professional services environment is preferred but not mandatory for highly capable candidates.
