Company: Virtual Construct\nLocation: Trivandrum, Kerala (Hybrid/Remote as applicable)\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nReporting To: Financial Controller\n\nAbout the Role\nVirtual Construct is hiring a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations for U.S.-based construction clients. This role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and operational accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n• Maintain daily bookkeeping records (GL, AP, AR) • Process vendor bills, customer invoices, and payments • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations\n• Assist with month-end close and supporting schedules\n• Support job cost tracking, WIP schedules, and expense allocation\n• Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records\n• Assist with payroll inputs and expense reimbursements\n• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries\n• Work on accounting systems such as QuickBooks / Foundation ERP\n• Coordinate with internal teams and U.S.-based CPAs as needed\n\nQualifications\n• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce\n• 2–4 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience\n• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and reconciliations\n• Experience with accounting software and Excel\n• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills\n\nPreferred\n• Experience with U.S.-based clients\n• Exposure to construction accounting, job costing, or WIP\n• Familiarity with U.S.
