Network Operation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN environments.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless devices.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network incidents within SLA.
• Implement network changes, upgrades, and performance optimization activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams for seamless operations.
• Ensure network security by implementing firewall policies, ACLs, VPNs, and segmentation.
• Monitor network performance using enterprise monitoring tools and generate operational reports.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Provide on-call support and participate in planned maintenance activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, NAT, VPN, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point networking devices.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless Networks, and Network Security.
• Knowledge of Firewalls, Load Balancers, IDS/IPS, and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or Cisco DNA Center.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management.
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an added advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, NSE, PCNSE, or Azure/AWS Networking are preferred.
