Advisor - Wholesale Lending (Funded Fintech Startup)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Consultant / Advisor – Wholesale Lending to build and scale the debt engine that funds our loan book, owning the full lifecycle from lender sourcing to structuring, closure, and drawdown.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard wholesale debt partners (NBFCs, banks, credit funds, family offices)
- Structure and close debt lines across term loans, NCDs, co-lending, direct assignment, and securitisation
- Drive negotiation of commercial and operational terms (pricing, covenants, security structure)
- Coordinate across partner teams (credit, risk, legal, treasury, ops)
- Manage documentation, approvals, and drawdown processes
- Shape credit policy and portfolio construction suited to a secured, asset-backed book
- Track progress and ensure timely execution of funding milestones
Requirements
- 20-40 years of experience in wholesale lending, debt capital markets, NBFC treasury, or structured finance
- A live network of decision-makers across NBFCs, banks, and credit funds
- Track record of structuring or raising wholesale debt for a lending business
- Working understanding of RBI norms for digital lending, co-lending, and NBFCs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive execution independently in a fast-paced environment
