Role Descriptions: Linux Admin
Desirable Skills:
Must-Have • Must have hands on experience on Following –
o Linux LVM
o OS level Cluster – any cluster experience.
o Network based OS installation (kickstart).
o Implementation and maintenance of RedHat Satellite server.
o OS upgrades and applying security updates (patching).
o Security Hardening of the Operating Systems.
o Network Based File Sharing protocols (FTP/NFS/CIFS/SAMBA).
o File System management.
o User management.
o Must have experience on deploying Server builds in virtualized environments (preferably VMware).
• Must have sound Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem and Change Management), preferably ITIL Foundation certified.
• Should have worked in a Remote Support Environment.
• Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams.
Good-to-Have
• RHCE certified.
• Hands on experience on any of the UNIX flavors - Solaris/Client-UX/AIX/Linux.
• Knowledge of SAN Storage concepts. |
