SQL Server Database Admin

Role Descriptions: Day to day management of all aspects of lhe databases (SQUOracle) as it relates to the application| interfaces and integrations. Provides production support as needed.Perform various OBA taskssuch as installations| configurations| dala purges and database hnplementations.Upgrade| maintain develop and enhance the SQL Server Environment.Maintain accurate and current documentation of SQUData warehousing technology lnstallnHon settings and specifications. Keep daily problems logs and files pe|iodic status reports.Performs application metering Including database slze| memory usage| llocaling resources to appllcations.Improve lhe availability| reliability stability of all areas and componenls of the SQL Environment by establishing and executing best praclicos.Ensure technical designs are s0lid and support the delivery of solutions that meet the need and are easily supportable while complying with audit and regulatory guidelines|Write and manage custom SOL queries for database analysis.Create and maintain data storage plan for backup and retention. Ensure that a viable database is always available off-site. Participates In Disaster Recovery tests to validate the dcitabase recovery procedures.
Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2012 R2 Server.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005-2012 Business Intelligence Stack.Strong knowledge of Database Modeling|Strong Knowledge of SQL server tootsProficiont in Oracle Dalabase Admlnlstration.Deep knowledge and understanding of data modeling| data dictio11ary and BIG data solutions.Experience with Clustering| Mirroring and Log Shipping.Experience with building a highly available onvlronment.Eperence in Installing and configudng multi-node and multi-subnet clustered SOL servers.Understanding of high availability| disaster recovery| performance testing| and tuning.
