Senior Python Developer

About the role

A highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer is needed to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-performance software solutions across our enterprise platforms. This role demands deep expertise in Python programming, system architecture, and integration within complex business environments.
As a senior member of the development team, this role requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders-including data engineers, DevOps, product managers, and business analysts-to deliver robust, secure, and maintainable applications that drive operational excellence and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications for financial data processing, modelling, and reporting.

• Design scalable microservices and APIs for integration with trading platforms, market data providers, and internal systems.

• Collaborate with finance and risk teams to automate workflows and enhance data accuracy and timeliness.

• Optimize performance of real-time and batch data pipelines handling large datasets.

• Ensure systems meet regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., MiFID II, Basel III, SOX).

• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices in secure and maintainable coding.
• Work with DevOps to deploy solutions in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Qualifications

Musthave:

• 5+ years of Python development experience in enterprise or financial environments.

• Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income) and market data.

• Experience with financial libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pydantic, PyTorch, Pandas, PySpark, QuantLib).

• Familiarity with trading systems, risk engines, or portfolio management platforms.

• Proficiency in cloud technologies, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nicetohave:
