Mechanical Engineer II
Job Overview
To Design, develop, analyze, validate and document with detailed 3D models and drawings, various mechanical components and assemblies. Use calculations and simulations (FEA and CFD) to validate designs during the design process. Bridging the gap between design engineering and Operations.
Responsibilities (List all)
Develop detailed solid models and drawings (considering DFA, DFM, DFS etc.) by using Creo 3 for dispenser platform.
Select and specify materials to satisfy design intent while minimizing costs.
Apply theoretical knowledge of design and mechanical engineering principles to solutions
Apply GD&T and Tolerance stack ups for designs and use FMEA's
Performs Engineering. Change management activities using windchill and SAP
Validate product performance and safety factors using finite element analysis (FEA) for structural analysis.
Coordinating with Mfg/ Op's team for new product introduction and production line support.
Perform engineering and CFT builds to validate designs.
Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack (List all)
Essential
Design of components (Sheetmetal, Plastics, Castings, Rubber etc), Subsystem and System level
Hands on experience on Design calculations
Working experience on Ops team interaction
Knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance stack up, FMEA, FEA
Commonly used CAD, PLM and ERP tools
Preferable
Creo-Windchill, SAP
Working experience in Automotive component design (Sheetmetal, plastics), Home Appliances, consumer products
Handled different kind of materials
