Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer with 8+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow CMDB. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in CMDB architecture, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and CMDB Health. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an accurate and scalable CMDB aligned with enterprise IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB solutions following industry best practices.
• Configure and customize CMDB classes, relationships, CI lifecycle, and data models.
• Implement and maintain CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
• Configure and manage Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• Develop and maintain CMDB Data Manager and CMDB Health dashboards.
• Configure and support ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Create and maintain CI relationship mappings and dependency views.
• Develop Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer flows, and Scheduled Jobs.
• Build integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
• Ensure CMDB data quality through governance, reconciliation, normalization, and audits.
• Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and infrastructure teams to maintain accurate configuration data.
• Troubleshoot CMDB-related issues and optimize platform performance.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow CMDB development experience.

• Strong scripting knowledge using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
• Experience with IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM modules.
• Experience in data imports, transform maps, and CMDB governance.
• Knowledge of CI relationships, reconciliation, and normalization best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and source control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ITOM Visibility and Event Management.
• Knowledge of Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Asset Management (HAM/SAM) integrations.
• Exposure to Service Graph Connectors.
• Experience in enterprise-scale CMDB implementations.

Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Mandatory
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - Preferred
• Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery (CIS-Discovery) - Preferred
• Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM/ITOM - Added advantage
