Business Analyst

About The Job:

• As Global Senior Business Analyst – PLM you will understand business requirements, processes and identify business technology and/or process opportunities in the domain of PLM/PDM, working with business and IDT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions/changes to existing solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budget.
• The Global Senior Business Analyst – PLM is a crucial role that plays a key part in shaping the product strategy with the business product owner and driving the execution of the product’s vision measured by OKRs through the IDT platform enablement.

Essential Job Functions:

• Fully understand PLM/PDM strategy, expected outcome, deliverables and value that needs to be generated from Technology.
• Work with the IDT SR&D Manager and SR&D Platform Lead to shape the future technology and solution roadmap that will drive business value.
• Supports the identification of existing PLM/PDM platforms new functionalities to be exploited by BAT, and proposes new capabilities to be planned for design and deployment.
• Support the business to translate business requirements into technology requirements and recommended projects and/or changes requests, considering existing available solutions, the future technology roadmap and your knowledge of external vendors’ capabilities.
• Work with project teams and Architecture teams to articulate the IDT architecture and integration implications of new functionalities.
• Ensures new requirements are fully understood by DevOps team.
• Provides support to business users for new functionalities testing and deployment.
• Takes ownership of the product (PDM – Siemens Teamcenter) and enabling platforms’ strategy, governance, capabilities development, and team management.
• Contributes to the organisation's portfolio strategy, leads vendor governance, enforces IDT standards and optimises the Total Cost of Ownership for a product.
• Drives and manages the development and operational KPIs for the product and enabling platforms.
• Ensures that the enabling platforms adhere to IDT standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Enforce compliance with security, data privacy, group architecture standards and regulatory requirements (Sec).
• Drive and manage (outsourced) delivery of service capabilities and the governance of service providers.
• Participate in internal and external service review meetings.
• Lead and drive resolution of IT service and/or business issues using agreed escalation routes.
• Evaluate business risks and issues related to operational incidents, potential changes and internal audit reports. Implement appropriate risk management processes and take appropriate and timely actions.

Qualifications:
Experience Required

• Deep understanding of PLM and PD processes and practical experience of improvement of these processes leveraging technology.
• Experience and awareness of the typical requirements for solution integration and data management.
• Experience managing and communicating with global teams.
• Experience managing 3rd Parties teams.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

• Ability to think clearly, prioritise and make decisions under time-sensitive and deadline-driven conditions. [NG1.1]
• Business acumen, ability to articulate both businesses, commercial and technical ideas clearly and simply.
• Experience in our preferred PDM solution of choice is highly desirable: Siemens Teamcenter, and in general experience in deploying/managing PLM/PDM solutions.
• Strong awareness of the solutions and vendors available in the market place for PLM/PDM.
• Experience in large global organisations using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to plan own work to meet overall goals and objectives.
• Effective communication and relationship management - experience working with business stakeholders across various business functions.
• Robust team work demonstrated both within and outside the IT function - Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary matrix teams, with internal and external participants.
• Awareness and understanding of Lean-Agile project management and solution development methodologies and frameworks e.g. DevSecOps and SAFe.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

• Degree Educated, with minimum 5-10 years post graduate work experience preferably in a business facing IT role.
