Role Description The Senior Design Engineer (APC) – Air Pollution Control Equipment is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagpur. This position is responsible for leading the design and development of air pollution control systems, including preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Day-to-day tasks include performing calculations and design reviews, selecting components, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting fabrication and installation activities. The role involves using CAD tools to create layouts and assemblies, resolving design issues during manufacturing and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Senior Design Engineer will also collaborate with sales and project teams on technical proposals, cost estimates, and optimization of existing equipment. Qualifications Strong Design Engineering skills, including system-level design, component selection, and engineering documentation. Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering with experience in industrial equipment or process systems. Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modeling, drafting, and layout preparation. Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering related to industrial equipment, controls, and instrumentation. Experience in Product Design for engineered-to-order equipment, preferably in air pollution control or related fields. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage. Experience in design of scrubbers, bag filters, cyclones, ESPs, or similar APC equipment is highly beneficial. Understanding of relevant environmental, safety, and industry standards and codes. Ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with production, procurement, and site teams. Effective communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical reports and drawings. Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and familiarity with fabrication processes.
