Senior Level- Year End

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Year-End Accounts specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of UK clients, prepare and review statutory accounts, mentor junior team members, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality accounting services while maintaining compliance with UK accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and finalization of year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
\n
• Review and analysis of trial balances, general ledgers, and supporting schedules.
\n
• Preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and notes to accounts in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102 / FRS 105).
\n
• Reconciliation and review of control accounts.
\n
• Posting and review of year-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
\n
• Liaison with internal teams and UK/Irish stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure timely completion.
\n
• Supporting junior team members through review, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
\n
• Use of accounting and compliance software such as Xero, CCH and Sage and related tools.

Requirements

\n
• ACCA / CA Inter or BCom
\n
• Strong experience in UK accounts finalisation within an accountancy practice or outsourcing environment
\n
• Sound knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105).
\n
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Proficiency with Xero, Sage and other accounting technologies.
\n
