Azure data engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain basic data pipelines using Azure technologies.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Assist in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
• Support data integration and migration activities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement scalable data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure data quality.
• Continuously learn and adopt Azure cloud services and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of database concepts, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Basic understanding of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure SQL.
• Exposure to any cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Recent graduates (2024/2025/2026) with internships, academic projects, or certifications in Azure/Data Engineering are welcome.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (optional) will be an added advantage.
